AFV Club US Navy Type 2 LSTs – LST-491 Class Landing Ship Model Kit

The ‘Landing Ship, Tank’ (LST), or Tank Landing Ship, are ships developed during World War II to support amphibious operations.
They could land tanks, vehicles, and landing troops directly on land without having port infrastructure in place.

This allowed amphibious landings on almost any beach.
