These were the predecessors privateer Schooner Baltimore.
They were painted black to make them virtually invisible in the night.They were baptized Black Prince and Black Princess.
Their crews were Portuguese, but the captain was American.
They robbed the English merchant ships in the English coastal waters and for more? Year, they destroyed the British trade with the world.
